BREAKING: Penguins trade Veteran Defenceman To Rivals

The Pittsburgh Penguins remain busy after last night's blockbuster with the Carolina Hurricanes regarding star forward Jake Guentzel. They have now made a trade with divisional rivals the New York Rangers.

Penguins trade Ruhwedel to Rangers

GM Kyle Dubas announced today that the Pittsburgh Penguins have traded veteran defenceman Chad Ruhwedel to the New York Rangers in exchange for a 2027 4th round pick.




Great deal for Dubas and company as they add a solid draft compensation for a defenseman who would most probably walk away for free in the off season.

The Rangers add a veteran defenseman who can serve as a 6-7 d on their depth chart, heading into the post season and the final stretch of the season.
