Tonight is rivalry night for the Pittsburgh Penguins as they take on their cross-state nemesis the Philadelphia Flyers. Let's look at some news and notes ahead of tonight's game.

Penguins Looking To Find Consistency Against Flyers

Tonight's game against the Flyers will be the first time these two teams have met this season.

The Penguins come into the game struggling to string together wins but staying in the playoff picture. The Flyers have had much of the same experience this season and find themselves just a point ahead of the Penguins.

The Penguins conducted a morning skate in Pittsburgh today ahead of tonight's puck drop.

Here are a few highlights from the morning skate.

The morning skate did give us an inside look at how the Penguins plan to lineup for their pivotal division matchup tonight.

Penguins Roll With Jarry Again After Historic Night

The first piece of information we got is that Tristan Jarry is expected to be between the pipes tonight for Pittsburgh.

Tristan Jarry will start in goal against the Flyers.

Then we were given a peek into the full lineup expected from the Penguins.

Full morning skate for the @penguins:

Guentzel-Crosby-Rust
O'Connor-Malkin-Smith
Harkins-Eller-Carter
Zohorna-Koppanen-Hinostroza

Graves-Letang
Pettersson-Karlsson
Shea-Ludvig
(Joseph-Samorukov)

Noel Acciari & Matt Nieto are not on the ice

The lines remain relatively the same heading into tonight's game. Joona Koppanen draws into the lineup after being recalled from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

On the flipside, Samuel Ersson gets the net for the Flyers while young forward Tyson Foerster looks to be getting a major opportunity playing on the Flyers' top line.

Flyers lines and pairings tonight:

Foerster-Couturier-Konecny
Farabee-Laughton-Atkinson
Tippett-Frost-Brink
Deslauriers-Poehling-Hathaway

York-Sanheim
Seeler-Walker
Staal-Ristolainen

Ersson

Tonight's game should be as intense of a rivalry game as we have seen from these two teams. Both are fighting for an avenue back to the playoffs after disappointing stretches from their current cores. The puck drop is 7 pm Eastern.
