In a surprising turn of events during the second period of the Pittsburgh Penguins- Columbus Blue Jackets game, Evgeni Malkin, inadvertently redirected a point shot by Andrew Perek of Columbus into his own net, resulting in a tie game at 2-2.
Evgeni Malkin's Unfortunate Own Goal
It isn't the first time Malkin has done this. Earlier this season, a similar incident occurred during a game in Arizona against the Coyotes.

You see my own net goal, it's a little bit down for my confidence. Next game, I need a goal for sure. I hope now I feel so much better because everybody show me this video when I score own net, it's like, I know it's bad luck. Sometimes it happens.
