The hockey world in grief after another tragedy: Olympic gold medallist passes away
We learned this afternoon about the passing of Kris Letang's dad, setting a rather sad mood as the Winter Classic was about to start. Unfortunately, it's not the only sad news we learned today...
Sergei Bautin has passed away at the age of 55 years old. Bautin played for Winnipeg, Detroit and San Jose. The Russian player had played 132 games in the big league after being drafted 17th overall in 1992. Bautin also won the gold medal at the 1992 Olympics.We would like to send out our deepest condolences to Sergei's family and friends.
