The Dallas Stars have been a really good team this season. They're currently sitting at the top of the Western Conference with 52 points. They just announced they re-signed one of their best players: Joe Pavelski.

Despite being 38 years old, Pavelski is still very impactful as he recorded 37 points in 38 games so far this season.

His new contract is for one year, with a $3.5M salary.

However, with performance based bonuses, he'll be able to go get up to $5.5M, which is not a lot for such an impactful player, who can score as well as be a leader for the younger players in the team! Many people have tweeted about it not being a big enough contract that reflects Pavelski's impact on the team.

Let us know what you think about this deal in the poll below!
