Teddy Blueger had a really rough start this season. He missed the first 15 games of the season due to an injury that occurred during training camp. He has proven to be very useful to the fourth line, and he's also an impactful player on the penalty kill. A reporter had the chance to speak with him about his future with the Pens. His contract is ending next summer. He'll then be an unrestricted free agent. Although these are big events for his career, Blueger had a surprising response:

"I'm doing the best I can for the team every day. That doesn't change, whether I have a long-term contract or a short-term or whatever the situation is. It's all out of my hands. I'm just trying to give my best every day, play my best. That's all I can do. Then the rest of it is out of my hands. There's a million different scenarios you can go through in your head, but that's kind of a waste of time. I've found that things change quickly, and it's all based on how you perform."

He basically doesn't really think about it. As surprising as it may be, he is right. This can be very stressful for a player and the best attitude to have is just to focus on playing the best hockey he can, that's where the real impact is. Knowing that, Blueger could see himself switch teams, but nothing is confirmed yet and it doesn't seem to be his no.1 priority at the moment!
