Earlier today, it was announced that five players would need to turn themselves in to the London Police to face charges related to the 2018 Team Canada Junior scandal.

In the last two days, five players took leave of absences from their teams.

It started two days ago. The Calgary Flames announced that Dillon Dube would take a leave of absence to attend to his mental health.

Then, yesterday, the Philadelphia Flyers made a similar statement, saying that Carter Hart was stepping away from the team.

Today, after the news broke out that five players were summoned by the London Police, former Senator Alex Formenton returned to Canada from Europe and the New Jersey Devils stated that two of their players would step away indefinitely: Michael McLeod and Cal Foote.

While it hasn't been confirmed that their leave of absences was related to the 2018 scandal, the timing here speaks for itself.
