The Pittsburgh Penguins have some great prospects playing for them in the AHL with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and with the Wheeling Nailers.

One of those prospects in the ECHL is Goaltender Taylor Gauthier. This week he received the honor of the leagues Goaltender of the Week.

In fact, it is the fourth time this season that he received this honor.

This past week, he put up some great numbers with 2 wins, a 1.28 GAA and .954 save percentage. During that stretch he made a spectacular 2 on 0 breakway against the Iowa Heartlanders.

That save helped the Nailers secure a 2-1 victory against the Heartlanders.

With his fourth time receiving the Goaltender of the Week honor, it made history for the Nailers, as Gauthier became the first ever goalie for the team to win four times.

It was also the fifth time ever in the history of the ECHL that a goaltender won this recognition four times in one season.

Congratulations to Taylor Gauthier and we hope to see you soon up in Pittsburgh one day!
