With today being do or die for the Pittsburgh Penguins, An NHL analyst has come out and stated that he believes the Pittsburgh Penguins would be in a better spot right now if they would've kept forward Jake Guentzel.
The Pittsburgh Penguins lost a crucial game versus the Boston Bruins this weekend, causing longtime NHLer and analyst PK Subban to state that if Jake Guentzel was playing for the Penguins, they would've won that game. Just to state, if the Penguins did end up beating Boston, all they needed to do was get 1 point tomorrow night versus the New York Islanders.«If they had Jake Guentzel on the team,» Subban said on the Pat McAfee Show. «They could have used him against Boston.»

«When Pittsburgh made the trade,» Subban said. «They knew what was at stake. They knew their playoff hopes. Nobody was counting them in.»
I think that the acquisition of Michael Bunting has been significant to the Penguins great form in their last 10-15 games. Without Michael Bunting you can argue that the Penguins would not be alive in terms of making the playoffs going into the final game of the season.
