Kyle Dubas could take a run at landing Mitch Marner this offseason

The Pittsburgh Penguins and Kyle Dubas have their work cut out for them in getting back to the playoffs for the 2024-25 season. After recent turmoil with Kyle Dubas' former team the Toronto Maple Leafs, some believe one of his former players could be the answer.

The Toronto Maple Leafs in their last game against the Boston Bruins floundered once again and had a frustrating loss. This time things were different because their star players Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner, and William Nylander were seen fighting one another on the bench.

Frustration has started to set in for the Maple Leafs stars

Since then fans have been calling for the breakup of the core four and specifically ripping into Mitch Marner. One of those people is former Maple Leaf Jay Rosehill.

.@Jay_D_Rosehill rips into Mitch Marner for being an entitled piece of s***.

He's 100% right.

With all of these complaints about Mitch Marner, he likely will be looking for a change of scenery this offseason. If that ends up being the case a reunion with his former GM Kyle Dubas could be a great idea.

While the narrative around Mitch Marner is not the best he is still incredibly talented. He could bring youth and skill to the Penguins' top six which is much needed. A trade for Mitch Marner is something that Kyle Dubas will need to seriously consider throughout the 2024 offseason.
