After Suffering Two Difficult Losses the Penguins are Looking to Rebound Against a Very Tough Florida Panthers Team
The Penguins lost both games this weekend by one goal. They received solid goaltending but just could not get any scoring to help win those games. Now that the Penguins are returning home, they face a tough Florida team. Here are some keys to look for in the matchup.Erik Karlsson Approaches a Major Milestone Especially for Defensemen
Karlsson has been playing pretty well as of late for the Penguins, scoring points in the last three games, and in four games out of the last five. He is looking to continue that streak and reach a milestone in the process.
Karlsson currently has 798 points, just 2 points from becoming only the 19th NHL defenseman to reach 800 career points. He would be the second active defenseman to reach this status, with former teammate Brent Burns being the other. Can this milestone be motivation to help the Penguins win at home tonight?

Florida Panthers Are Arguably the Best Team in the East
The Eastern Conference may not be considered the better of the two, but Florida is one of the conference leaders and may be considered the best the East has to offer.
Defensively they are stingy giving up the fourth least goals this season. And have a good tandem goaltending with Sergei Bobrovsky and the surprise backup, Anthony Stolarz.
Offensively they are a scoring machine. With Sam Reinhart's 39 goals this year, they also have four forwards with a higher than point per game average. The Penguins are in for a challenge against the Panthers.
Will Jesse Puljujarvi Make His Presence Known in the Lineup
Puljujarvi is just 3 games into his signing with the team and wants to make a impact. He has not scored a point yet, but his size is a standout, and he has 6 shots on goal.
Sullivan has given him high praise and has paired him on the second line with Malkin previously. This would be a perfect time to make his move, get a point under his belt and hopefully give the Penguins a chance to win.
