Alex Nedeljkovic is lined up to get his third straight start for the Pittsburgh Penguins as the Pens take on the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight

The Pittsburgh Penguins are coming off a very big home win against the returning Jake Guentzel and his Carolina Hurricanes. This morning during the morning skate, we saw who HC Mike Sullivan was intending to get the start in goal.

Alex Nedeljkovic was the first goalie off the ice, and is setting up to play in his third straight start tonight.

Even with a shaky end to his start against the Colorado Avalanche, his 39 save performance against the Hurricanes seemingly has earned him another start for the Penguins.

After that game against Carolina, Sullivan spoke on how Nedeljkovic helped the Penguins secure that victory.

"He quietly does a good job at controlling the game, or helping us to control the game. He catches pucks and gets whistles when you need him to. His ability to play the puck on the dump ins helped us get out of our end zone."

Nedeljkovic is 2-0-1 over his last three starts and has a 2.45 GAA and .919 save percentage over his last five outings, including two relief appearances.

The Penguins take on the Columbus Blue Jackets at home in PPG Paints Arena tonight where they need to win every game to stay in the playoff hunt. Puck is set to drop at 7pm EST.
