Canadian Contender Officially Linked to Jake Guentzel in a Blockbuster Deal

The Pittsburgh Penguins have done everything but confirm that Jake Guentzel will be traded before March 8th.

The forward has yet to sign an extension with Pittsburgh, rejecting two offers and has showed signs of a guy who wants to be traded. The Pens are far from a playoff spot and need to capitalize on a deal. Insider reveals that a Canadian contender are very much in on the star forward.

Canucks still very much in on Guentzel



After acquiring Elias Lindholm before the All-Star Break, it seemed like the Canucks were presumubly out of the Jake Guentzel sweepstakes, but according to insider Rick Dhaliwal, the Canucks are still highly interested in acquiring the Penguins forward.


Dhali says I'm definitely hearing Canucks are in on Guentzel. The return is gonna be huge.

He mentions a 1st rd pick, 2nd rd pick, a prospect+. Guentzel may be asking for $8m-$9m or so in AAv to sign as well.


We can only imagine the powerhouse of a team the Canucks would be if they would be able to get a deal done for Guentzel, along with acquiring Elias Lindholm all in the same trade deadline.
