Tough to Watch: Evgeni Malkin Scores on His Own Net

From Bad to Worse for Evgeni Malkin

As of late Malkin has been the target of scrutiny from fans, the media and even his coaches as he has struggled to be as effective as he once was.

In tonight's road game against Arizona, Malkin made a brutal error that resulted in him scoring on his own net. See the footage below.




This goal made the score 4-2 and seemingly put a win further out of reach.

Malkin's Season so Far

The 37 year old Russian has 37 points in 43 games (not counting the snipe on his own net), but many feel he's got more to give. Hopefully this error will light a fire under Malkin and he will heat up down the stretch.
