Crosby's 19th Season in the League

Sidney Crosby has been around for a long time now, almost two decades! However, he continues to be one of the top players in the league even after all these years.
Let's face it, 36 isn't old, but the NHL is becoming younger by the day and statistically guys are well past their prime by 36, but that just isn't the case for guys like Sidney Crosby and Joe Pavelski.

2023-2024 by the Numbers

As mentioned above, 36 is far from the prime of a hockey players career. Statistically, a players prime should be somewhere in their mid to late 20's.

However, Sid had much of that time taken away from him due to brutal injuries. I think that it's one of hockey's biggest what-ifs. If Sid wasn't robbed of his true 'prime' where would he be in all-time points? Would the Pens have won more cups? I guess we will never know, but what we can do is appreciate the continued brilliance of the kid (the man now).

So far this season, Crosby has 27 goals, 21 assists and is currently +18. Goal-wise, this is one of the most impressive paces in his career.

Nothing seems to be slowing Sid down yet, and I hope that he plays until he's Jagr's age and can continue to dominate.

Lets Go Pens
