The Pittsburgh Penguins have finally started some sort of dialogue with the Jake Guentzel camp. It was reported today that they have made an offer to Jake Guentzel!

Guentzel offered Huge Contract

In a podcast featuring Frank Seravalli, he reported that the Penguins swung an offer in the ballpark of 50 million dollars across 6 years. That would be 8.5 M AAV for the American Winger.

Not enough term and not enough money for Jake Guentzel and his camp, hence why a deal didn't come to fruition

Frank Seravalli stated on the podcast. We have to agree, Jake is heading towards a career season, and can seek upwards of 10 million dollars annually in the open market on July 1st. Interesting development tonight in Pittsburgh.

More details to come.
