Through the first 44 games of the season Crosby has 28 goals and 40 assists, and has made a huge impact on every single game. He's scoring goals on a pace that he has never touched before, as he is on pace to score 50. He has only accomplished this feat once in his career. If the Penguins were a playoff team, he should legitimately be in the Hart discussion, if he is not already.


It seems like he has single-handedly won multiple games for the Penguins this season, taking no nights off. The Penguins need to be better, if not for the fans sake at least for Sid.

The Penguins Play This Season

The 2023-2024 NHL season has been extremely inconsistent to say the least. As we approach the All-Star break, the Penguins remain out of a playoff spot. With such stellar play from Crosby and Guentzel it feels disrespectful for the Penguins to perform as they have. Crosby deserves better. He is the only one that appears to care every single night and this is not a good sign for the Penguins playoff hopes. As spectacular as he has been, Crosby likely can't drag the Penguins into the post-season.

Kyle Dubas says that he will evaluate what the team needs over the All-Star break and if the Pens continue to sputter, he will have his work cut out for him. To give Sid a better supporting cast.
